Facts about

This is the only serial in which Zorro's character has been presented authentically; often said to be a prequel to Zorro Rides Again because the main character of that serial was the original Zorro's descendant, it is, in fact, a completely original story featuring the actual Zorro character.
The appearance of Benito Juarez in Chapters 1-2 & 12 presents us with somewhat of an anachronism. It's not that Senor Juarez wasn't alive at this time (stated as 1824). It's just that the great Mexucan Patriot was born in 1806; making him 18 years of age then. The inclusion of Juarez in the story is most likely do to the release of highly successful and popular Juarez earlier that year; which starred 'Paul Muni' in the title role.
The scene where Zorro falls off a stagecoach then climbs up that back was later homaged by Indiana Jones with a truck in _Raiders of The Lost Ark (1981)_.
