For the week of March 2, 1946, Betty Hutton's jovial, racing rendition of "Doctor, Lawyer, Indian Chief" (music by Hoagy Carmichael, lyrics by Paul Francis Webster), via Capitol Records, sprinted to first place on the "Billboard" singles chart.
