The Model and the Marriage Broker Overview:

The Model and the Marriage Broker (1951) was a Comedy - Romance Film directed by George Cukor and produced by Charles Brackett.

SYNOPSIS

Character actor great Ritter stars as a marriage broker who makes model Crain her personal business. When she learns that young and winning Crain is romantically attached to a married man, she decides to set her up with X-ray technician Brady. This comedy relies heavily on humorous portrayals of the marriage service's customers, but turns sweet as Ritter wages her unyielding campaign to unite the young couple. She's surprised to discover there is something in it for her.

Facts about

"Lux Radio Theater" broadcast a 60 minute radio adaptation of the movie onOctober 6, 1952 with Jeanne Crain and Thelma Ritter reprising their film roles.
In the original script, the model's name was Christina Brady. It was changed to Kitty Bennett for the movie. Then, when this movie was adapted for the "20th Century Fox Hour of Stars" presentation in June 1957, the character's name was changed back to Christina Brady.
Her role as Hazel was the first film role for Nancy Kulp.
