SYNOPSIS
In this historical action picture tough-guy soldier-of-fortune Mitchum figures the 1916 Mexican revolution could put him i the way of some serious pesos. Rebel leader Colonel Escobar (Roland) hires him to heist an arms shipment coming by way of another American mercenary, Kennedy (Scott). It's all a matter of routine for Wilson until he gets a load of Kennedy's wife. Now he's in it for more than money.

The film was shot on many of the actual battle sites of the 1916 Mexican revolution, the period during which this film is set. Many of the older Mexicans hired as extras in the film were former soldiers of Pancho Villa and others were former government troops who fought them.
