SYNOPSIS
In this Wilder-Brackett script, Colbert plays a reporter who saves a man (Milland) sentenced to death in a Spanish military prison in the aftermath of the Civil War. After he is freed, they run off to Paris but the war clouds gather. They sail for America but encounter the war once more and find themselves washed back to Europe.
