Her best known films include The Roaring Twenties (1939) co-starring James Cagney and Humphrey Bogart, Hitchcock's Saboteur (1942) opposite Robert Cummings, and Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) with Cary Grant and Raymond Massey. Lane died at the age of 79 on Apr 4, 1995 in Andover, MA and was laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.

Priscilla Lane was the prettiest, blondest and most personable of the five Lane acting sisters, two of whom, Rosemary and Lola, appeared in films with her. A former dance band singer, Lane proved equally at ease with romantic or madcap comedy roles, and did all her best work at Warners where she was under contract from 1937 to 1941.
