The exterior church scenes in On The Waterfront were shot at Hoboken's historic 1874 Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church.

The interior church scenes were shot at nearby St Peter and St Paul Church at 400 Hudson St.

There were a number of scenes between Brando and Eva Marie Saint that took place in the park in front of Our Lady of Grace, but the scene where Brando and Saint look out over the waterfront was shot at Stevens Park (which fronts St Peter and St Paul Church). This scene used a combination of two sites to create one location.
