SYNOPSIS
Bob Hope successfully takes the Laughton role as butler from Ruggles of Red Gap (1935). A nouveau riche American family aspires to class by hiring Hope as their British butler. Unfortunately, Hope is neither a butler nor British; he's actually an out of work American actor. Fun performances by Hope and Ball, and the incomparable Blore.
