[about the chemicals he's mixed] They're not compatible. This is supposed to blow up. I wonder why it doesn't?
Nancy: You and I aren't going to be very compatible either, Genius, if you don't get out of here.
Genius: I wonder what you see in her.
Mike: I don't know either. But, uh, whatever it is, I like it.
Elsa: I'm hungry too. What's for breakfast?
Fred: Sheriff, on toast.
Fred: Merrie! Get in there and watch that kid.
Merrie: But I wanna watch!
Fred: Don't worry. I'm gonna give you his head on a silver platter.

Facts about Village of the Giants
Ron Howard plays a boy genius who invents a super growth formula. He later played the same kind of role in Genius at Work
Vicki London was originally cast with a larger role, but declined to disrobe in preproduction, so her part was changed with Joy Harmon's, and much of London's subsequent screen time was cut. Her agent kept her in the movie at full pay, while London didn't seem to object to what happened, since she saw the whole thing as forgettable.
An alternate version of the theme music - "The Last Race" - was reused by Quentin Tarantino in Death Proof.
