Originally planned as a vehicle for Charles Hutchison, to be directed by W.S. Van Dyke. Filming of the first episode went disastrously: Hutch was to jump from a balcony to a chandelier and swing across a room, but the chandelier came crashing to the floor with him. The result was the backwards dislocation of one of Hutch's elbows. The project was shelved and eventually scrapped.
