The Boogie Man Will Get You (1942) was a Comedy - Horror Film directed by Lew Landers and produced by Colbert Clark.

SYNOPSIS

Winnie Slade and Bill Leyden purchase a creepy old New England hotel from the crazed Professor Nathaniel Billings. The hotel is already peopled by eccentrics, with the basement converted into a laboratory for Billings's experiments. When Winnie and Bill discover corpses littering their new purchase, they call in local sheriff Dr. Lorenz to investigate.

Facts about

Shooting lasted July 7-21 1942, released October 22. This completed Boris Karloff's six-picture contract with Columbia.
The plot of this film has strong similarities to Arsenic and Old Lace, in which both Boris Karloff and Peter Lorre were previously associated - Karloff appeared in the theatrical original (and at least three television adaptations) while Lorre co-starred in the film version.
This is the second of four film teamings of Boris Karloff and Peter Lorre, all of them comedies. Others were You'll Find Out, The Raven and The Comedy of Terrors.
