This cartoon marks the final appearance of Porky Pig in a black-and-white film.
When Porky and Daffy are locked up at the end, one of the writings on the chalkboard says, "Porky loves Petunia."
This is the first time the Raymond Scott composition "Powerhouse" is used in a Warner Bros. cartoon. Used in the scores of over 40 Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts, "Powerhouse" has since become synonymous with cartoon music.
