Paris When It Sizzles Overview:
Paris When It Sizzles (1964) was a Romance - Comedy Film directed by Richard Quine and produced by George Axelrod, Richard Quine, Carter De Haven Jr. and John R. Coonan.
SYNOPSIS
The romantic pairing from Sabrina (1954) reunites for a quirky comedy shot on location in Paris. Holden is trying desperately to finish a screenplay and hires Hepburn as his secretary. She is understandably irresistible and the two fall in love as they act out the possible scenarios. An all-star cast, including Dietrich and Sinatra, show up for a party. this was a painful experience for Holden, who had fallen in love with Hepburn on the Sabrina set and still carried a brightly burning torch. The hopelessness of his attraction fueled drinking binges and a wrecked Ferrari during shooting. The result seems forlorn rather than sparkling.

Gabrielle: [laughs] That's very funny!
Richard: No, it isn't. Just one of the hazards of being an international wit, which I am. You have to keep trying all the time.
Richard: Cut to the Eiffel Tower. The main title. The trumpets segue into the inevitable title song. Maybe we can get Sinatra to sing it.
[Frank Sinatra begins to sing]
Richard: [about the screenplay's main character] Now, I suppose we'll have to describe him.
Gabrielle: Yes, I suppose so.
Richard: He's American, of course. I can write him better that way. Now let's see, what else.
[looking in the mirror]
Richard: I see him as rather tall, rather suntanned, rather handsome athletic-looking with a rugged, but... curiously sensitive face.

Facts about
During one scene, Audrey Hepburn and William Holden compare Frankenstein to My Fair Lady, the latter of course being the film Audrey would soon star in. Charade, Hepburn's next produced film, also contains a reference to "My Fair Lady".
Filming ended only two days before production began on Audrey Hepburn's next film, Charade. The small park with its Punch and Judy puppet stage, seen during the opening credits, appears in both films.
