Facts about

Charles Hawtrey wanted to play the role of Bo West in this film; producer Peter Rogers refused.
The final scene when the face of the baby is shown the script said that Phil Silvers would be used. However, in the end Kenneth Williams did the scene as the baby.
The camel used in the film came from Chessington Zoo. It had never walked on sand before and corrugated material covered with sand had to be placed on the floor.
