Central Airport (1933) was a Drama - Black-and-white Film directed by William A. Wellman and Alfred E. Green and produced by Hal B. Wallis.

SYNOPSIS

Solid performance by Barthelmess as a daredevil flier who loves a lady parachutist but refuses to marry her because of the dangers of his profession. She weds his brother instead and sparks fly, along with aerial heroics and some innovative shots. Look for one of John Wayne's early screen appearances.

Alfred E. Green temporarily replaced William A. Wellman as director when he caught the flu.
American Film Institute Catalog of Feature Films 1931-1940 erroneously identifies Glenda Farrell (uncredited) as "Woman in Wreck". Glenda Farrell does not appear in this film.
A note on file in the AMPAS library says that John Vosper replaced Charles Sellon, J. Carrol Naish replaced Harold Huber and Russ Powell replaced Robert W. Craig.
