Facts about

The character of the ring announcer is modeled after real life actor Dan Tobey, whose entire career was portraying boxing and wrestling announcers on film.
"Ravishing Ronald" is modeled after wrestler Gorgeous George Wagner, who used many of the gimmicks Ronald does in this cartoon: a valet, perfume, dyed blonde hair and bobby pins. Unlike Ronald, however, Gorgeous George was actually a competent wrestler, and theatrical "cheating" was his trademark, not his opponents'.
