"Lux Radio Theater" broadcast a 60 minute radio adaptation of the movie onNovember 8, 1937 with Bing Crosby reprising his film role.

One of over 700 Paramount productions, filmed between 1929 and 1949, which were sold to MCA/Universal in 1958 for television distribution, and have been owned and controlled by Universal ever since.

The lead was originally offered to Gary Cooper, who turned it down. It was then given to Bing Crosby.

While filming this picture, the spirit gum holding Bing Crosby's ears back failed; he insisted on completing the film with his ears out, and never used the gum again.
