"Night Bus", one of Adams's many magazine stories, appeared in Cosmopolitan Magazine in August 1933 and became the basis for the film It Happened One Night.
According to filmsite.org: Another of Adams' short stories about a woman traveling on a bus, "Last Trip" in the March edition of Collier's Magazine, may also be considered a source for the film.
