Character actress who played long-suffering wives, mothers and a variety of elegant, sometimes pompous society ladies. Appeared on stage during the 1920s and 30s (Theatre Guild) and co-starred (as Linda Loman) with Paul Muni and Kevin McCarthy in a 1949 London production of Arthur Miller's 'Death of a Salesman' at the Phoenix Theatre.

She and her husband, William A. Brady, Jr., had a daughter Barbara Brady.

Married to Alice Brady's half-brother.
