MINI BIO:
Cloris Leachman was a thin-faced blonde American actress who appeared mostly in anguished roles, but was no slouch in screwball comedies. She was tremendously busy working on television from the late 1940s, and was hardly seen in film until she won a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for "The Last Picture Show" which brought her wider recognition. Television called her back for featured (and sometimes starring) roles in many TV movies and shows of the 1970s and 1980's.

Mike Hammer: We will.
Christina Bailey: If we don't, remember me.
Christina Bailey: I could tolerate flabby muscles in a man, if it'd make him more friendly. You're the kind of person who never gives in a relationship, who only takes. Ah, woman, the incomplete sex. And what does she need to complete her?
[sarcastically]
Christina Bailey: One man, wonderful man!
Christina Bailey: You have only one real lasting love.
Mike Hammer: Now who could that be?
Christina Bailey: You. You're one of those self-indulgent males who thinks about nothing but his clothes, his car, himself. Bet you do push-ups every morning just to keep your belly hard.
