Frank McHugh was a stocky American actor of Irish extraction, with light wavy hair and an almost permanent look of amiable bafflement on his face. He was a regular member of the Warner repertory company from 1930 to 1942, usually playing the not-too-bright but true-blue loyal friend of the intrepid hero.
