Barbra Streisand Overview:
Legendary actress, Barbra Streisand, was born Barbara Joan Streisand on Apr 24, 1942 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. As of December 2023, Barbra Streisand was 81 years old.
MINI BIO:
Dark-haired (although it got lighter through the years), sexy, aggressive American singer and actress whose prominent nose and clown's smile sit well with her talent for comedy. Her larger-than-life personality and magical singing voice - all throb and passion - grabbed her an Oscar for Funny Girl. She was further nominated for The Way We Were. Her sense of throwaway comedy remains pleasing, but she can over-dominate a film and after a series of dispiriting misfires, proved in 1983 with Yentl that she was in her element when producing, directing, and starring all at once. Married/divorced actor Elliott Gould. Currently married to actor James Brolin. (Source: available at Amazon Quinlan's Film Stars).HONORS and AWARDS:

Barbra Streisand Quotes:
Fanny: I'd have to change too much, nobody could wait that long.
Fanny Brice: "No law against waiting," I said, "people do it all the time." For once, I didn't say too much, I didn't say too little, I said just what I said and then walked.
Florenz Ziegfeld: Miss Brice, do I have to remind you this is my theatre?
Fanny Brice: So, what, nobody argues with the landlord?
