Susan Hayward Overview:

Legendary actress, Susan Hayward, was born Edythe Marrenner on Jun 30, 1917 in Brooklyn, NY. Hayward died at the age of 57 on Mar 14, 1975 in Hollywood, CA and was laid to rest in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery in Carrollton, GA.

MINI BIO:

There was an inner driving force behind the career of this American star that belied the pretty face in the chestnut curls and showed itself in the set of the lips and the look behind the eyes. It led her swiftly from "sweet" heroines to tough ladies in the Stanwyck mould - but with more problems. First nominated for an Oscar for her alcoholic in Smash-Up (a role that set the pace for the remainder of her career), she was up for the Academy Award several times after that, finally winning for I Want to Live! ten years later. Married to actor Jess Barker (first of two) from 1944 to 1953. Died from a brain tumor.
