Frankie Darro Overview:
Character actor, Frankie Darro, was born Frank Johnson on Dec 22, 1917 in Chicago, IL. Darro died at the age of 59 on Dec 25, 1976 in Huntington Beach, CA .
MINI BIO:
American actor with a mop of dark, unruly hair. In films from boyhood, often in low-budget westerns, he was the prototype of the Dead End Kids, Stanley Clements and every kid from the wrong side of the tracks who never got the breaks. His best role came early, in Wild Boys of the Road. Thereafter, he seemed to be forever playing runts, jockeys, and minor leads. It comes as no surprise to find that he actually made a film called Tough Kid. Billed as "Darrow" until 1930, he died from a heart attack.
