Esther Dale Overview:

Character actress, Esther Dale, was born on Nov 10, 1885 in Beaufort, SC. Dale died at the age of 75 on Jul 23, 1961 in Los Angeles, CA .

MINI BIO:

American actress who played characters who never took things at face value. It was difficult to pull the wool over these narrowed eyes, and she was kept very busy in films following a late cinematic debut at almost 50. Mostly seen as crusty types whose hearts of gold were well hidden, she also played nosey neighbors, brisk housekeepers, and nurses who would stand no intervention in their patients' care. Married writer-producer Arthur Beckhard who died only a few months before her.
