Edgar Buchanan Quotes:

Matthew Stoker: Bradford, come over here!
Rev. George Bradford: The page that contains the code has been torn out.
Gilbert Archer: Oh, that page! Now isn't that careless of me?
Rev. George Bradford: What have you done with it?
Gilbert Archer: I completely forgot to tell you about it. I left it in the safe at my hotel.
Matthew Stoker: What was on that page?
Rev. George Bradford: Stoker!
Gilbert Archer: Now we mustn't lose our heads, must we, Bradford? Because if anything happens to me, you'll lose your last chance at finding that painting.
Rev. George Bradford: Very shrewdly put, Mr. Archer. As soon as Rausch brings Helms here, you're going with us to your apartment. There you're going to give us the missing page.

Younger Miles: [Miles catches his wife drinking again] I warned you, Abbie!
Abbie Miles: I'm in my own home!
[Miles slaps her and walks out just as Abbie's father walks in]
Sheriff O'Hea: Has that ever happened before, Abbie?
[She shakes her head and cries]
Sheriff O'Hea: When you were a little girl, I couldn't bring myself to lay a hand on you, even to spank you, no matter how wild you got. I never thought I'd live to see the day my girl got slapped and I did nothing about it.

Judge Tolliver: The glory of a good marriage don't come at the beginning. It comes later on.

Edgar Buchanan Facts
He provided dentistry skills on the set numerous times. One such occasion, he pulled the tooth of his stand-in of 25 years, Jack Henderson.

His friend of many years, Glenn Ford, once told a story of when Edgar was preparing to do some painful dental work on him. The anesthesia consisted of others passing by and allowing the patient, Glenn, to take swallows of whiskey to help ease the pain of the process. About every third drink Glenn took, Edgar took one as well.

He met his wife at dentistry school in Toronto, where she also studied to become a dentist.
