Dean Martin

Legendary actor, Dean Martin, was born Dino Paul Crocetti on Jun 7, 1917 in Steubenville, OH. Martin appeared in over 60 film and TV roles. His best known films include the 16 he made with partner Jerry Lewis: My Friend Irma (1949), My Friend Irma Goes West (1950), At War with the Army (1950), That?s My Boy (1951), Sailor Beware (1951), Jumping Jacks (1952), The Stooge (1953), Scared Stiff (1953), The Caddy (1953), Money from Home (1953), Living It Up (1954), 3 Ring Circus (1954), Artists and Models (1955), You?re Never Too Young (1955), Pardners (1956) and Hollywood or Bust (1956). Martin and Lewis also made a cameo appearance in Bob Hope and Bing Crosby's Road to Bali (1952) as the man (Martin) and woman (Lewis) in Lala's Dream.

Martin's notable 'solo' films include Rio Bravo (1959), Ocean's Eleven (1960), Robin and the 7 Hoods (1964), and his four Matt Helm films: The Silencers (1966), Murderers' Row (also 1966), The Ambushers (1967), and The Wrecking Crew (1968). Martin hosted his own television series, The Dean Martin Comedy Hour, which aired from 1965-1974. Martin died at the age of 78 on Dec 25, 1995 in Beverly Hills, CA .

HONORS and AWARDS:

He was honored with three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the categories of Recording, Motion Pictures and Television. Dean Martin's handprints and footprints were 'set in stone' at Grauman's Chinese Theater during imprint ceremony #126 on Mar 21, 1964. Martin was never nominated for an Academy Award.
