MINI BIO:
Cold-eyed, heavy-eyebrowed and with rather menacing features, Paul Stewart, was a leading member of Orson Welles Mercury Theatre group. He gradually became a Hollywood film regular, in villainous (often callously so) roles. Stewart went grey early, and in any case always looked older than his years. Since 1955, he has directed a large number of productions and episodes for television, as well as continuing a sporadic acting career.
