Turner Classic Movies (TCM), which is on the verge of celebrating its 20th Anniversary as a leading authority in classic film, is bringing its popular and critically acclaimed original specials to home video with TCM Originals, a new line of special programs produced by TCM and exclusive to the network. First in the series is the newly released Conversations with Robert Osborne, a special selection of some of the finest interviews the TCM host has conducted with legendary Hollywood talent.

"TCM fans have been clamoring for home video editions of our original specials, and we’re thrilled now to be offering them as TCM celebrates its 20th anniversary," said Dennis Adamovich, senior vice president of digital, affiliate, lifestyle and enterprise commerce for TCM, TBS and TNT. "We’re especially excited to launch this new line of DVDs with Conversations with Robert Osborne, a terrific collection of interviews with Hollywood legends by one of the best conversationalists on television."

TCM’s Conversations with Robert Osborne includes two installments of the network’s Private Screenings specials. First up, Osborne interviews renowned actress of screen and stage Liza Minnelli, who shares highlights of her remarkable career and details of her personal life as the daughter of actress Judy Garland and director Vicente Minnelli. Then the cameras turn on Robert Osborne, as he discusses his lifelong love of movies and career as an entertainment columnist and film historian with actor Alec Baldwin.

Conversations with Robert Osborne also features three installments of Live from the TCM Classic Film Festival, recorded before a live audience in historic Hollywood. The collection includes Osborne’s 2010 conversation with Luise Rainer, the first woman to win back to back Best Actress OscarsÒ, for The Great Ziegfeld (1936) and The Good Earth (1937); a 2012 interview with Kim Novak, best remembered for her roles in Picnic (1955) and Hitchcock’s Vertigo (1958), who reveals to Osborne secrets of her career and personal life; and a candid 2013 conversation with Academy AwardÒ winning actress Eva Marie Saint, star of On the Waterfront (1955) and North by Northwest (1959).

Also included is a special essay by journalist and frequent TCM contributor Roger Fristoe, which provides biographical and professional information on the guests featured in each interview to help the viewer appreciate some of the most surprising and important revelations in these productions.

Future TCM Originals DVDs include the 2013 original documentary Don’t Say No Until I Finish Talking: The Richard D. Zanuck Story, A Night at the Movies, Vol. 1 and AFI Master Class: The Art of Collaboration. TCM’s A Night at the Movies collection features four fascinating genre explorations from award-winning filmmaker Laurent Bouzereau: The Gigantic World of Epics (2009), The Suspenseful World of Thrillers (2009), Merry Christmas! The AFI Master Class: The Art of Collaboration features in-depth conversations with three remarkable cinematic teams: Steven Spielberg and composer John Williams; filmmaker David O.
