A stunning evening dress worn and accidentally ripped by Marilyn Monroe is expected to fetch at least £20,000 at auction.
The lavish gown was worn by the starlet at the height of her career and is due to go under the hammer at the Nate D. Sanders auction in Los Angeles on Monday.
The formal calf-length 1950s dress features a sheer black décolleté panel, glittering jet detailing at the bust and a saucy 18in slit up the right side.
The dress was designed by James Galanos, a legendary American fashion designer whose famous clientele included Monroe, Jackie Kennedy, Judy Garland and Elizabeth Taylor.
Bidding for the dress begins at $30,000 US dollars - the equivalent of more than £19,700.
