He has been called "an American treasure" and "the most recognized profile and talent in the world." TCM pays tribute to Bob Hope, one of the greatest and most beloved entertainers and comic actors of the 20th century, with an evening of his films including the TCM premiere of the vehicle that confirmed his movie stardom, the mystery/comedy The Cat and the Canary (1939).

Other films in our Hope salute include My Favorite Blonde (1942, Madeleine Carroll), My Favorite Brunette (1947, Dorothy Lamour), The Seven Little Foys(1955), The Princess and the Pirate (1944) and Road to Bali (1952), one of the series of celebrated "Road" movies he made with Bing Crosby.
