CULVER CITY, CA - Monday, January 4, 2016 - getTV opens the New Year with a January programming lineup packed with acclaimed dramas and beloved favorites, airing in primetime all month long. The roster features stunts starring Barbra Streisand and Rita Hayworth, as well as a month of Boston Blackie serial thrillers; a night of Cary Grant classics; a 40th Anniversary celebration of MURDER BY DEATH; and Golden Age icons Katharine Hepburn and Liz Taylor in SUDDENLY, LAST SUMMER.

Highlights of getTV's January programming lineup are as follows:

FUNNY LADY (1975)-Wed., Jan. 6 at 8 p.m. ET

Barbra Streisand brings the story of Vaudeville legend Fanny Brice to life, as she deals with her divorce to Omar Sharif, falls for hustler James Caan, and fights to stay afloat in a world hit hard by the Depression, in this follow-up to FUNNY GIRL.

Boston Blackie Block-Every Thursday in January, Starting at 8 p.m. ET

getTV presents a month of classic serials starring Chester Morris as reformed thief Boston Blackie in 12 of his most daring capers. Highlights include the spy ring thriller MEET BOSTON BLACKIE, and the art house mystery CONFESSIONS OF BOSTON BLACKIE, directed by Edward Dmytryk; followed by BOSTON BLACKIE GOES HOLLYWOOD, and THE CHANCE OF A LIFETIME, directed by William Castle (Jan. 14). Next, Morris solves a stolen diamond scheme in ONE MYSTERIOUS NIGHT, directed by Budd Boetticher, and gets mixed up in a murder in BOSTON BLACKIE BOOKED ON SUSPICION (Jan. 21). Then, Morris hunts a spooky killer in THE PHANTOM THIEF, and is wrongly accused in TRAPPED BY BOSTON BLACKIE (Jan. 28), among others. 

Friday Features: Cary Grant-Fri., Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. ET

getTV pays tribute to beloved leading man Cary Grant in a trio of romantic comedies, as Grant plays Cupid for his two roommates in WALK, DON'T RUN, with Jim Hutton and Samantha Eggar. Then, Grant uses a boy's dancing caterpillar to get rich quick in ONCE UPON A TIME, (10:45 p.m. ET). And Grant has a choice to make when he falls for his fiance's sister in HOLIDAY, (1 a.m. ET) with Katharine Hepburn. 

GILDA (1946)-Fri., Jan. 15 at 8 p.m. ET

Rita Hayworth shines as a sultry siren who complicates things for ex-lover Glenn Ford when she marries his new boss, in this Film Noir favorite directed by Charles Vidor.

MURDER BY DEATH (1976) 40th Anniversary-Sun., Jan. 24 at 8 p.m. ET

getTV celebrates 40 years of mystery in this special presentation of the Neil Simon farce, starring Peter Sellers, Truman Capote, Peter Falk, Alec Guinness, and Maggie Smith, as the world's greatest detectives who must solve a murder in an old dark house.

SUDDENLY, LAST SUMMER (1959)-Sun., Jan. 31 at 8 p.m. ET

When her son dies under mysterious circumstances, Katharine Hepburn goes to extremes to keep Liz Taylor from revealing the shocking truth, in this Tennessee Williams adaptation written by Gore Vidal.
