CULVER CITY, CA - Friday, June 5, 2015 - Start the weekend with getTV, as the network puts the spotlight on nine Golden Age legends in the Friday Icons block, every week at 7 p.m. ET. The month begins tonight on June 5 with beloved crooner Dean Martin as a television writer who gets more than he bargained for, when friend Tony Curtis' little white lie spirals dangerously out of control in the 1960 spy caper WHO WAS THAT LADY?, with Janet Leigh; and Martin's scheme to end married pal Eli Wallach's affair backfires, when he picks up the wrong woman in HOW TO SAVE A MARRIAGE (AND RUIN YOUR LIFE), with Stella Stevens at 9:40 p.m. ET.
Spend the evening with Loretta Young on June 12, as the OscarĀ® winner delivers a powerhouse performance as a distraught woman caring for the orphaned child she injured in a hit-and-run in the 1952 drama PAULA, followed by the romantic comedy BEDTIME STORY, with Fredric March, at 8:50 p.m. ET. And getTV pays tribute to OscarĀ®-winning starlet Susan Hayward on June 19, with a pair of dramas, as the elegant actress stars as a conniving woman bent on taking over the Stoddard Family Estate in ADAM HAD FOUR SONS, with Ingrid Bergman and Warner Baxter, and shines as a troubled teen on trial for murdering her mother's latest lover in WHERE LOVE HAS GONE, with Bette Davis, at 8:50 p.m. ET.
The month wraps up on June 26, with a triple feature starring the incomparable Peter Lorre in the Truman Capote-penned adventure BEAT THE DEVIL, with Humphrey Bogart. Then, Lorre's disfigured watchmaker embarks on a spree of crime and terror in the 1941 Noir THE FACE BEHIND THE MASK, with Evelyn Keyes at 9:05 p.m. ET; followed by Lorre's stunning turn as Stephen Danel, the sadistic warden of a sinister fortress where paroled prisoners are kept as slaves in ISLAND OF DOOMED MEN, with Robert Wilcox at 10:40 p.m. ET.
