CULVER CITY, CA - Monday, August 10, 2015 - getTV celebrates some of Hollywood's finest musicals with a month-long lineup featuring 10 unforgettable classics, every Thursday in September starting at 7 p.m. ET. The star-studded event opens on September 3 with a pair of "Swinging '60s" favorites, featuring funnyman Dick Van Dyke as a desperate songwriter who schemes to get his latest tune into the hands of a drafted rock star in the beloved 1963 smash BYE BYE BIRDIE, with Ann-Margret and Janet Leigh. And young lovers Joey and Piper sail to the City of Lights with marriage on their mind in the 1962 comedy TWO TICKETS TO PARIS, with Joey Dee, Jeri Lynn Frazier, and Charles Nelson Reilly at 9:45 p.m. ET.

On September 10, getTV puts the spotlight on the "Golden Age '30s" with Grace Moore as an aspiring Opera singer who falls for her mentor Tullio Carminati in the two-time Oscar®-winner ONE NIGHT OF LOVE at 7 p.m. ET; and song-and-dance man Bing Crosby stars as a released prisoner who puts his dreams on hold to help a family in need in PENNIES FROM HEAVEN, with Madge Evans and Louis Armstrong at 9 p.m. ET. Spend the evening with silver screen siren Rita Hayworth on September 17, starring as a gold-hearted bar maid in MISS SADIE THOMPSON at 7 p.m. ET, with Aldo Ray as the marine who loves her and José Ferrer as the missionary who wants to save her soul. Then, Hayworth stars as a Greek goddess whose influence dooms a Broadway musical in DOWN TO EARTH at 9:15 p.m. ET, with James Gleason and Adele Jergens; followed by Hayworth in one of her greatest performances as a member of a war-time theater troupe who falls for Squadron Leader Lee Bowman in the 1945 hit TONIGHT AND EVERY NIGHT, with Janet Blair and Shelley Winters at 11:45 p.m. ET.

The block comes to a close on September 24 with a night of "'50s Remakes," featuring three musical remakes of legendary films that had not previously been musicals. The night begins with Jack Lemmon as an ambitious reporter who woos runaway bride June Allyson in YOU CAN'T RUN AWAY FROM IT at 7 p.m. ET, the 1956 remake of IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT. Next, Jane Wyman's attempts to get back at womanizing husband Ray Milland backfire, leading to divorce in LET'S DO IT AGAIN at 9:15 p.m. ET -the 1953 remake of THE AWFUL TRUTH. And desperate writer Betty Garrett tries to trick publisher Jack Lemmon into believing she's actually her vivacious younger sister in MY SISTER EILEEN at 11:30 p.m. ET-the 1955 musical remake of the 1942 film of the same name.
