CLEVELAND, Ohio - It's not unusual for an entertainer to have restaurant named after them, or a bar, or maybe a tribute album or even a TV show.
But a bridge? Only in Cleveland, the adopted hometown of Bob Hope, one of the most popular comedians and actors of the 20th Century. In 1983, the Lorain-Carnegie bridge, a major artery connecting downtown to the west side, was renamed in honor of Hope and his family.
Now that's star power.
