Thirty years ago, viewers delighted as Ferris Bueller and his friends visited the Willis Tower, drove a Ferrari, hung out at the Art Institute of Chicago and took in a Chicago Cubs game. Now fans can finally stop being envious because, thanks to Groupon and Fathom Events, they have a chance to experience the perfect day off themselves. As part of the 30th anniversary celebration of John Hughes' unforgettable comedy Ferris Bueller's Day Off fans can win the opportunity to reenact his epic skip day and relive the cult classic during a limited return to theaters on May 15 and 18 as part of the TCM Big Screen Classics series.

Starting today and running through May 16, Groupon is presenting the Official Ferris Bueller's Experience sweepstakes in which one lucky winner will replicate Ferris's legendary day off in Chicago. The grand prize is a weekend trip for two to the Windy City from July 15-17, 2016, which includes roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations, a luxury sports car rental, tickets to the Willis Tower Skydeck, a classic hometown baseball game and the Chicago Art Institute, dinner at Chicago's acclaimed Everest restaurant and more.

"Like Ferris, Groupon believes that life moves pretty fast, and we want to make sure no one misses the incredible things happening around them every day," said Jon Wild, vice president of North America marketing, Groupon. "We're proud to serve as the only place where people can create their own day-off experience and discover amazing local things to do -- and you won't have to drive home backward."

In addition to the Official Ferris Bueller's Experience sweepstakes, every day from May 6-16, 10 winners will receive tickets to see Ferris Bueller's Day Off, showing in more than 650 movie theaters during the special two-day screening, which is part of the year-long TCM Big Screen Classics series.

"We are excited to begin this new partnership with Groupon with a very exciting campaign," said Fathom Events CEO John Rubey. "We hope fans will be inspired to pursue a Groupon experience of their own after enjoying Ferris Bueller's Day Off in theaters."

Paramount Pictures' Ferris Bueller's Day Off was originally released on June 11, 1986. Matthew Broderick stars as a delightfully charming high-school senior who, with his girlfriend Sloane (Mia Sara) and best friend Cameron (Alan Ruck), ditches school to enjoy one perfect day as a kid with no responsibilities.

The beloved comedy about Ferris' wild adventures in the Windy City during a single, glorious day off continues to be enjoyed, quoted and revered 30 years after its theatrical debut. The film will also be available on iTunes with behind-the-scenes special features for the first time on May 17 so fans can download it to enjoy again and again.
