A big cut in production at 20th Century-Fox as it moved toward an all-CinemaScope production schedule left many of its contract directors, writers, and actors idle. Fox arranged to lend these contractees to Leonard Goldstein and his newly formed Panoramic Productions in return for a release agreement. This was one of several pictures, financed by Fox but made at the RKO-Pathé studio, that resulted from the agreement.
Not seen on U.S. television since 1977.
