The film was shot in Cinecittà in two versions, one French and one Italian. The leads (Annie Vernay, Pierre Richard-Willm, Roger Karl and Suzy Prim) appear in both versions, but the supporting roles are played by Italian actors in the Italian version and whilst a French cast features in the French one.
