Elvis Presley had so much debt in early 1967 due to his purchase of a Memphis ranch with up-to-date equipment that his manager, 'Colonel Tom Parker', had to sign the contract for this movie in a hurry so that Elvis could get his one million dollar fee. It was the last time Elvis would get the magic million dollars.

Although this film is set in Miami, Elvis Presley's scenes were all shot in and around Los Angeles. All the Florida exteriors were shot in wide angles, using doubles for Presley.

Elvis' red sports car in the film is a 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Racer.

One of the children at the playground during the song "Confidence" is Corbin Bernsen.

One of the children at the playground during the song "Confidence", the girl afraid to slide down the chute, is Lisa Slagle. She became a member of the Joffrey Ballet
