British actress, Vida Hope, was often cast in slatternly of vixenish roles, which she took by the scruff of the neck and shook into life. A multi-talented woman, she also directed plays and designed clothes, but her career came to an abrupt end when she was killed in a car crash two days before Christmas. She was married to British film director/writer Derek Twist.
