Sara Haden was a plain-faced, dark-haired American supporting player -- a former child actress who came to Hollywood in her late thirties and played nosey neighbors, spinster aunts, dragon-like secretaries, no-nonsense parole officers and frozen-faced, strait-laced do-gooders in general. She switched to films after a long theatre career, was nasty (on film) to Shirley Temple, then established herself as maiden Aunt Milly in the Andy Hardy series.
