MINO BIO:
Roy Atwell appeared in over 35 films and shorts from 1922 to 1947 but is probably best known for being the voice of Doc in Walt DisneyÂs Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937).
In addition to his film work, he appeared in several Broadway plays including The Little Missus, and The Firefly -- and he was also a member of the Fortune Gallo's San Carlo Opera Company. He co-wrote the lyrics for "Some Little Bug is Going to Find You" which was recorded by Billy Murray in 1915 (Library of Congress link to song).
Roy Atwell was also a direct descendant of Revolutionary War soldier Joseph Atwell (1754-1834) who built a house in 1792 ("Atwell's Corners") in the area that is now Pompey Hollow (south of Syracuse NY).
