MINI BIO:
Mary Clare was a gracious British actress of strong and distinctive personality. A much respected figure on the London stage after a debut there at 16, she became one of the cinema's best villainesses in the 1930s. She possessed a wide range, and was more than capable of carrying a play or film on her own shoulders, as with the title role in "Mrs. Pym of Scotland Yard".
