MINI BIO:

Louise Allbritton was an aristocratic but peppy leading actress with chiselled features, whose film career was almost entirely confined to the 1940s. Despite often being cast as 'the other woman', she was poised, witty and had a great sense of comic timing that might have made her the successor to Carole Lombard. Her talent, like Lombard's, certainly looked at their best in screwball comedy, but she did not pursue a career with the same single-mindedness after her marriage to news commentator Charles Collingwood in 1946.
