MINI BIO:

Kurt Kasznar was a plumpish Austrian-born actor with strikingly dark hair and eyes. He was around the Hollywood (mostly MGM) scene quite a bit in the 1950s, following long stage experience in Europe and, later (from 1936) in America. He ambled amiably through a succession of 'sub-S.Z. Sakall' rolls in musicals, comedies and adventures, providing some attractively fractured English. He was married to actress Leora Dana (second of two wives) from 1950-1958 (divorce).

Zucco: There's nothing so offensive as a prudish pirate.

Jacquot: What the devil is the matter with you? You're in love with the girl and she's in love with someone else. This sort of thing happens all the time; people don't *die* of love. You'll recover... But meanwhile can't you be civilized about it?
