MINI BIO:
Franklin Pangborn was an American character comedian who always looked as though he had detected a bad smell in the room and frequently behaved as if whatever he was doing was way beneath him. He was the height of prissiness as hotel managers, bankers, dress-shop managers or floorwalkers. He had his routine to perfection, and could make audiences laugh even in the midst of a bad film. Unbelievably, in his early theatrical days, he was once typed as a villain.

Penny Hale: Why did Daddy move? He liked our penthouse, and I loved it.
Waters: Questions, questions. Curiosity killed a cat once.
Penny Hale: Your cat?
Waters: Yes. Uh, no! And stop saying "our penthouse." It isn't yours, not anymore.
