Chief Dan George was an aged Canadian Indian who only came to films at age 70 but showed an amazing aptitude for acting in his few appearances, even upstaging Clint Eastwood in "The Outlaw Josey Wales". He was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for "Little Big Man".
