Charlotte Greenwood was an American actress and eccentric dancer, with a hearty, no-nonsense voice. She played 'plain Janes' in her early days, then moved on to character roles in comedies and musicals becoming internationally known for her long-legged, high-kicking dance routines. She was at her best while under contract to Fox in the early 1940s, but was also notable as 'Aunt Eller' in Oklahoma!
