He was on the musical-comedy stage by the age of 15 before moving on to the film industry, where he worked is a series of short comedy flicks. He eventually worked his way up to cameo appearances in feature films, one his most notable of these being in the 1968 film Where Were You When the Lights Went Out?.as a man trying to shave during the New York City blackout.
