MINI BIO:

Allen Jenkins' 'mug' might have come straight from a Damon Runyan story - and proved to be his fortune. In the 1930s and 1940s, with a matchstick often dangling from his drooping lower lip, Jenkins was ever ready with a leering remark and played dozens of dim-witted but by-and-large friendly penny-ante crooks and ne'er-do-wells. Largely retired after 1957, he still played a few cameo roles in his last years. He died from complications following surgery.
